After joining the National Youth Theatre in 2006, Sope Dirisu has been part of numerous productions by the organisation, including playing Friar Laurence in Romeo & Juliet and Nicholas in Tory Boyz.

In 2012, the actor successfully auditioned for the Royal Shakespeare Company and went on to play the title role in Pericles, Prince of Tyre. He was first introduced to the small screen in 2013 when he appeared in The Mill, and later her appeared in Channel 4's Humans and the BBC's adaptation of JK Rowling's The Casual Vacancy. The 25 year old then made his move onto the big screen, playing the role of Tull in The Huntsman: Winter's War, starring alongside Chris Hemsworth and Charlize Theron. Later this year, Dirisu is set to return to the theatre to play Muhammed Ali in The Donmar Warehouse's One Night in Miami. He'll also be seen in war film Sand Castle, alongside Henry Cavill, and the TV series Halcyon next year.
